Personally, I did my “f-you” bit 10 years ago. After I did it one of the VPs there (who I still see around and have a brew or two with) said to me, over a brew … “Rick, you didn’t just burn the bridge, you nuked the damned bridge to smithereens!”

My reply was, “THAT was the WHOLE purpose of the exercise!” LOL

While I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that particular tactic to most people, it can be effective. But it definitely made me focus on getting my butt in gear. It’s why my online “handle” is CorpRebel!
