Rapid Action Profits v3.1 JUST Released

Back in 2007, when it first came out, I bought Rapid Action Profits to use for my own downloadable products. My initial review can be seen here:

Spring forward to July 2009 and it’s now up to version 3.1 and more feature packed than ever before. It JUST keeps getting better as time goes on.

SOME of the NEW features of the Rapid Action Profits (aka RAP) Script are:

* The ability to create a zero dollar Coupon Code ($0.00) allows RAP owners to give an existing front-end product away, but still register the ownership. The order button is automatically replaced by a registration form.

This feature allows you to create a “freebie” from any existing product, and can be a great way to do a special promotion, a product launch, or just build your own list.

* The RAP Admin now includes an interface to the Three Pillars Helpdesk system (for those who use this script). The Three Pillars Help Desk software is a nifty help desk script from Willie Crawford. The RAP Admin Dashboard can alert you to new helpdesk tickets – and open your helpdesk window as an overlay INSIDE your RAP Admin area!

* RAP product owners can create a custom Payment Page for their customers when they get to Paypal. A number of things they can customize are the header graphic and background colors displayed at Paypal. It keeps the look and feel the same throughout the order process.

* Import Affiliates and/or JV partners from a flat file. This allows you to extract your affiliates from an existing affiliate program, and upload them directly into your RAP database. Their affiliate ID from the original program becomes their nickname in RAP, and they can immediately begin selling your instant commission products, too!

* Automatically Cloaked URL’s for affiliates! Using the new scrnch.me service, RAP-driven affiliate tools pages will now
include a cloaked URL for affiliates to use. It’s right in the affiliate tools page, and it’s automatic!

This could help you recruit new affiliates. I don’t know many other affiliate program today that automatically provides affiliates with a cloaked link. If you are not cloaking your links, you’re probably losing a LOT more sales than you realize to affiliate theft, email filters, and just the fact that some people don’t like long, ugly affiliate links.

* MORE security upgrades to safeguard your data and products. Changes in the way RAP implements many parts of the sales process makes it extremely difficult for thieves to steal your products and commissions.

I really like using RAP and since I’ve been using it for alot of my products there hasn’t been much in the way of drawbacks. The only thing that I can see that some might not like is that it can ONLY be used with PayPal as the primary payment processor.

It’s not very hard to install but if you have a phobia about installing scripts, it would be advised to get someone to install it for you. It’s very well documented and the customer service forum for RAP is outstanding! Sid Hale, owner of RAP, and others on the forum are there to help you along the way.
